Suomen Rugbyliitto, yhteistyössä World Rugbyn ja Rugby Europen kanssa, järjestää Introduction to Leadership and Management -kurssin Suomessa. Kurssi on osa World Rugbyn vuonna 2023 lanseeraamaa Administrators Academy -ohjelmaa, ja se on suunnattu nykyisille ja tuleville seurojen ja liittojen hallitusten ja toimikuntien jäsenille erityisesti Suomessa sekä muissa Pohjois- ja Baltianmaissa.
Koulutus on kaksipäiväinen ja se järjestetään viikonlopun 22.-23.11.2025 aikana. Näiden kahden interaktiivisen ja mukaansatempaavan päivän aikana osallistujat työskentelevät ryhmissä kehittääkseen toimintasuunnitelman omalle seurallensa tai rugbyorganisaatiollensa. Erilaisten harjoitusten, keskustelujen ja pohdintojen avulla keskitytään rugbyorganisaation hallinnon ja johtajuuden eri osa-alueisiin. Kurssin jälkeen osallistujilla on:
- Ymmärrys oman rugbyorganisaationsa profiilista
- Ymmärrys rugbyn arvoista
- Ymmärrys hallintomalleista rugbyorganisaatiossaan
- Ymmärrys nykyisestä organisaatiorakenteesta ja sen vertailusta tavoiteltuun rakenteeseen
- Laadittu vuosittainen toimintasuunnitelma ja tunnistettuja kasvumahdollisuuksia
- Pieni projektisuunnitelma organisaationsa aktiviteetille
- Selvitys käytettävissä olevista resursseista ja niiden hyödyntämismahdollisuuksista
- Näkemys omasta motivaatiosta ja johtamistaidoista
- Valmis toimintasuunnitelma työkirjassaan
Kurssin opetuskieli on englanti, mutta suuri osa ryhmätyöstä voidaan tehdä myös suomeksi. Koulutuksen vetää ryhmä Rugby Europen WR-kouluttajia, mukaanlukien Suomen Rugbyliiton Jatta-Mari Harju.

Introduction to Leadership and Management course in Helsinki | 22nd-23rd November 2025
Finnish Rugby Federation, in collaboration with World Rugby and Rugby Europe, will be hosting the Introduction to Leadership and Management course in Finland. The course is a part of the World Rugby’s Administrators Academy programme, launched in 2023, and it is aimed at current and future members of committees and boards of clubs and federations targeting Finland and also other Nordic and Baltic countries.
The course is a 2-day training and will be held in Helsinki on the weekend of November 22nd and 23rd 2025. Over two interactive and engaging days, participants will work in groups to develop an action plan tailored to their own club. Through various activities, discussions, and reflections, the focus will be on different aspects of management and leadership within a rugby organization. By the end of the course, participants will:
- Outline a profile of their own rugby organization
- Gain knowledge of rugby values
- Understand key governance models for their rugby organization
- Compare the desired organizational structure with the current one
- Develop an annual plan for their rugby organization, identifying growth opportunities
- Draft a small project plan for a specific activity
- Explore available resources for implementation
- Gain insights into their own motivation and leadership skills
- Complete an action plan in their workbook
The primary language of the course is English, though much of the group work can be conducted in Finnish also. The course will be facilitated by a group of WR Educators from Rugby Europe, including Jatta-Mari Harju from the Finnish Rugby Federation.
