In the summer of 2021 we will play our first ever U17 championship for girls and boys. The Championship will consist of the 10’s variety of the game. Players taking part will be born in the 2004 – 2006 bracket. Rugby is suitable for all types of person. You can be switching over from another sport or taking up rugby as an additional sport. In club trainings you will safely learn the basics principles and techniques of rugby.

Saturday 26.9. in Espoo’s Otaniemi the domestic finals were held.
The Women’s Championship final was won by Tampere RC, who faced of against Turku Swans. Tampere RC got a clear route to the final by finishing top fo the league table. Swans beat Helsinki Rugby Club in a semi-final to secure their place.. Tampere won the Finnish Championship in 2017. Turku Swans have yet to win the Championship put pushed their oponnents to the very last play with the game ending 26 – 22.

The rugby Championship and domestic season reach their pinnacle this coming Saturday, 26.09.2020. In Espoo’s Otaniemi Sports Park, the rugby finals take place in the Men’s and Women’s Championsship as well the match to determine promotion & relegation from Division 1 and the Men’s Championship.
In the Men’s Championship final the 2 Helsinki based teams face off against each other, Helsinki Rugby Club and Warriors Rugby Club. Helsinki’s route to the final was via an unbeaten season. Warriors played and won in a semi-final against Old Town Shamrocks on 19.09.
The promotion – relegation match will also be played between the Division 1 Champions, Pori Rugby and the last placed Men’s Championship team, Jyväskylä Rugby Club. Should Pori win then they have the opportunity to replace Jyväskylä in next season’s Men’s Championship.
Due to the ongoing Corona epidemic the 2020 season was played in a shortened format which began at the end of July. The Men’s Championship has been played since 2020 and the Women’s Championship started in 2006.
